Welcome to all things life, money and travel! I’m glad you’re here.

A little bit about me to start:

My name is Teresa and I am in my late 30’s. I am a tax accountant with two small children who is married to a banker. Yes, we are a financially-minded family! It is my goal to provide a life of happiness and comfort (not to be confused with entitlement) for my children. I want them to grow up knowing the value of a dollar (and the benefit of compound interest) as well as the importance of finding a career they love.

I also want to be wildly selfish and retire when they go off to college! It’s a goal of mine which I will discuss in depth.

I have an undergraduate degree in Business and Communications as well as a Masters of Accounting degree. I do not consider myself a financial expert! I’m trying to figure it out – just like you!

However, as an accountant, I see personal finances on a daily basis. I know the pitfalls many individuals encounter that can ruin their lives. I’ve witnessed them first hand and I want to prevent you from making the same mistakes they did.

Beyond the money, there is my life. Choices that have been made, paths taken, friendships formed that have led me here.  To say I am grateful for the life I have would be an understatement. I love it all.

What is life without travel? I’m not sure. It is a huge part of my life. We as a family make many daily sacrifices, however, travel is not one of them. I want my children to see the world and other cultures – to appreciate the life they’ve been given. I want them to have a great deal of wanderlust but to also appreciate the comfort of home (and their own bed!) There’s nothing quite like it.

Thanks for visiting!
